Ardagh Group has become one of the world's largest packaging manufacturers following its acquisition of a number of beverage can plants that were required to be divested so that Ball could acquire Rexam plc. The plants in the US, Europe and Brazil were absorbed into Ardagh at the beginning of July, the same time that Ball completed the Rexam deal.
