Japan's biggest canmaking company Toyo Seikan is investing in its aerosol manufacturing operations. rnIt is moving steel aerosol can production lines with an annual capacity of 120 million units from its Takatsuki plant to a new site. rnThe plant will be constructed at Higashiomi in the Shiga Prefecture, at a cost of around 10bn Yen ($104.2m). The facility will not increase Toyo Seikan's capacity, as domestic aerosol can demand has remained flat, but it will use more sophisticated manufacturing equipment to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
