Launched at the ILE Conference in Edinburgh in September, the National Lighting Design Awards 2000 has been reorganised and revamped for the new Millennium, as LIF's Keith Johnston explains. The UK's premier lighting awards, the National Lighting Design Awards, are organised by the Lighting Industry Federation (LIF) in association with the ILE. The awards scheme, established in 1987, aims to promote the importance and influence of good lighting - and to commend the effective use of energy and innovation in the design of the lit environment.
