Another successful Motorship Propulsion and Emissions conference is now under our belts.rnThe 32nd Motorship conference, held in Hamburg on 28/29 April, reflected the industry's mood in that it consolidated emissions reducing technology rather than presenting anything really new.rnWe always try to include something out of the ordinary, for 2010 the novel slant came from a piping company. Pipes, you may think, have only a tenuous connection with propulsion or emissions, but a bit of lateral thinking when specifying pipe materials can result in an amazing weight saving, so less fuel consumed, and fewer harmful emissions. Not to mention savings on maintenance and through-life costs.
