Paris-based class society Bureau Veritas reports continued growth, with 2006 figures indicating a 12% increase in consolidated revenue, to 1,846 million Euro. BV says that this represents the seventh successive year of double-digit growth. Adjusted operating income, meanwhile, was up by 10% on the previous year, to 268.3 million Euro. At the same time, personnel grew by a similar 10% rate, with 26,207 employees registered at December 31, 2006.rnLike most class societies, BV is active in many fields, but remains committed to its core marine business, it was here that organic growth was especially strong - particularly in the oil and gas sector.
