The Railway Touring Company's November 2 'Bluebell Explorer'tour -headed by'Britannia'No. 70013 Oliver Cromwell from the Severn Valley Railway's Bridgnorth to the Bluebell Railway's Sheffield Park - was not just a ground-breaker for the obvious reasons. Not only did it traverse the length of two heritage lines at each end of the journey, utilising main line connections at Kidderminster (established in 1984) and East Grinstead, but it handled what must be the first ever consignment of goods to be carried directly by rail between two heritage railways!
