A mathematical model is presented of convective heat transfer between the flows of finely dispersed media in a valve-type pulsating-flow heat exchanger (VPHE), with account taken of interphase heat carry-over for Bi Fo 1. Distributions along the length of the channels are obtained of the flow velocity and the fractional void volume of the suspension, and also of the time dependences of the temperatures of the flows for different ratios of the densities and the heat capacities of the dispersed and continuous phases.
