Manufacutring processes of prefabricated heat-insulated and water-proofed pipes and shaped parts and their use in canal-free pipelining of district heat supply systems are described. the European and Russian standards for these items are considered. Data are given on the experience accumulated since 1987 in servicing canal-free pipelines.
