摘要

How many unfinished sewing projects do you have? I used to find partially completed projects, with pattern, fabric, and notions packed together, under the bed or in the back of the closet. I felt a pang of guilt at every discovery. I had reasons to move on to other sewing. Perhaps I realized I was making a style mistake, and needed to rethink the design. Or I changed size, and the project waited until I came to terms with giving it to a sewing friend. There are justifications, but Threads and the wonderful experts and readers I've met through working here have helped me overcome sewing obstacles real and conceptual. When I reach a stage in the construction process that calls for a challenging technique, I no longer put the work aside. When I get bored with a plain design, I find a method that inspires me to complete it.
