Twin needles seem like an esoteric notion to some sewers. They usually bring to mind dainty pin tucks on fine children's clothing, or a mock cover-stitch hem on knit garments. There's more to twin needles, though. You also can use twin needles in more decorative and innovative ways. For example, create curvy tunnels, sharply angled lines, or a combination of circles and lines to textur-ize almost any fabric and lend sculptural dimension to the most contemporary garment. Or topstitch a seam with a twin needle straddling it to make the seamline stand out. A twin needle takes your machine's decorative stitches to a whole new level.
