One peek into Debbie Bone-Harris' sewing room proves that she can't get enough of embellishments. From hand embroidery to vintage ribbonwork and beadwork, Debbie loves to set her designs apart from others with detailed surface designs. Luckily, she has a 644-square-foot space in her Kenne-wick, Washington, home to store all of her colorful treasures and wearable works of art. When Debbie had her sewing studio built a few years ago, she put a lot of thought into the location and design. She knew she didn't want her studio to be too removed from her home, which is why she made an addition onto the family room with a 10-foot-long hallway that leads to her studios French doors. The room's many windows take advantage of the north light. This is great for color matching, and it's the perfect place for Debbie to get to work at sunrise.
