Concord FIFO (First-In-First-Out) advances the elongated spiral conveyor principle pioneered by Molins' OSCAR and perpetuated in its classic Concord and Concord N cigarette handling machines. Like its predecessors, the reservoir is formed by two multi-tier wheel units. But here the similarity ends ― product enters the reservoir at the bottom of the spiral and progresses uni-direc-tionally in a First-In-First-Out sequence to exit at the top. One of the wheel units is fixed within the reservoir frame, whilst the other is free to move, on a slideway, along the axis of the reservoir, filling or emptying in response to the linked machines.
