Delivery inspection of engines at the engine manufacturing plant was conducted by the inspection staff in a driving test under their own power (firing) using combustible materials during the final process. Unusual noise, vibration and any other defects were detected and the Cases were determined by the staff with overhaul, etc. Which took fair Amount of time. In the present development, we paid attention to the Three principal factors for normal combustion; namely the value tim- Ing, arc energy, and the air-fuel-ratio. We measured respective vari- Ables in the course of assembly and conducted inspection to specify The cause of abnormalities at the preceding processes. As the result, We could attain product quality better than under the conventional in- Spection, hence discontinued the firing test.
