Because of such factors as variations in the work load on production lines and disparities in operational levels, there is a need for positive control of maintenance resources. We therefore conducted research aimed at applying General Simulation~(1) (hereafter GSIM) to actual maintenance situations And developing concrete applications. The following example Showed that this can be used to determine the timing and level of Preventive maintenance required, based on production trends, Opening up the prospect of putting maintenance simulation into Actual use.
