摘要

Recently, automobile engine components are being used in severe thermalconditions due to higher demand for output performance, fuel consumption rate, and purification of exhaust gas. For example, better fuel economy is achieved by raising compression ratio, resulting in highr exhaust temperature. We have developed a "laser clad valve seat" altering a conventional press-fit sintered valve, to solve this confict by improving the overall heat-transfer coefficient between cylinder heads and valve seats. This lowers the temperature of com-bustion chamber wall and valves as well as the temperature of valve seats. It contributed higher combustion efficiency, attaining both lower fuel consumption and higher torque and power.
