Within the International Standards Organisation (ISO) Technical Committee 204 on Intelligent Transport Systems, Working Group 16 covering Wide Area Communications-Protocols and Interfaces, the following standardisation activities are underway mainly related to CALM (communications access for land mobiles).rnThe CALM architecture provides the networking protocols and physical interfaces to enable vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). Therernare a number of standards that form the CALM architecture; these standards are at various stages of development. The current status as of February 2009 is as in the table below.
