This book traces the first 10 years of the Railway Technical Society of Australasia (RTSA), from its formation in 1998 and the story of its predecessor (the National Committee on Railway Engineering) within Engineers Australia. Particular emphasis is given to the bi-annual Conference on Railway Engineering (CORE), honours, awards and professional development activities undertaken by the RTSA. The author writes from a position of knowledge about events, as the inaugural National Chairman of the RTSA and as a former head of its Government Relations Committee.
