The national committee shall be titled the National Committee for Transport and this shall be abbreviated as NCTR.rnNCTR terms of reference are based on the draft Terms of Reference for the National Committee on Software Engineering. They are as follows:rn1. Provide engineering leadership and input to the development of all aspects of transport planning, including land use; demographic surveys; energy usage for transport; transport safety; and the engineering analysis, design and implementation of transport projects and programs.rn2. Interact with industry, professional, research and government bodies involved in transport engineering in Australia.rn3. Develop awareness and foster debate on critical issues and trends in transport engineering within Australia.
