There has been erlatively little scholarly research focusing on logistics management practices at small firms. To address this litera- ture gap, this article compared logistics man- agement practices at 116 small and large com- panies located in northeastern Ohio. We inves- tigated propositions comparing small and large firms with respect to modal usage, shipping, patterns, and the use of select logistical inter- mediaries. None of the relevant propositions was fully Supported, thus suggesting differences in logis- Tics management practices between small and Large companies.
