Polymers used in building cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liners are traditionally ther-moset polymers. Thermo-set indicates that the polymer is "set" when cured and may not be reheated and remelted after the polymerization reaction is completed. These thermo-set polymers may be polyester resins, epoxy vinyl ester resins or epoxy resins. The polymers are chosen because of ease of use, mechanical properties, corrosion resistance properties and longevity. Polymers have building blocks that determine their properties.
