After a collapse in a section of its critical sewer overflow line, the Village of Powhattan Point, Ohio, turned to cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) technology to restore and rehabilitate a vital piece of its community infrastructure. The overflow line had been severely impacted by a series of flooding events during September 2004 and January 2005 from hurricanes in the Ohio River Valley region. Since this pipe served as a primary overflow structure to protect the residential areas of the community and manage flow coming into the Village's wastewater treatment facility, immediate action was required.
