摘要

In this article, the deformation of a tube during roll-cutting is investigated by cutting and slip line theory. The roll-cutting principle of the roll-cutting shearer is shown in Figure 1, whereby the roll-cutting knives are installed in the frame. The frame is driven by a motor and the knives are moved along the radial direction of the frame. When the knives contact the cut tube, they are rolling on the surface of the tube, so can cut out the tube by the radial moving machinery. By using the shearer to cut a tube, there are no metal fillings, little noise, no burrs, and a round and vertical cutting section.
