By means of determination of activation energy for zinc electrodeposition process from zincate solution with the additive of polymeric tetraalky lammonium salt it has been shown that the exceeding of electrocrystallization current above limiting diffusion current in the additive-free solution is caused by the intensification of convective transfer of zinc ions by evolved hydrogen. The formation of bright zinc deposis in the region of limiting diffusion current has been explained by the inhibition of zinc nuclei growth in the presence of additive.
