摘要

The problem of repetitive strain injuries (RSIs) is a seriousnone, said to affect about 80% of those who operate ultra-nsound scanners. Apart from the suffering it causes, it isnpotentially costly to those affected, and to those whonemploy them. It is a complex and multifactorial disorder, nand if there were a ‘silver bullet’ solution, it wouldnsurely have been found by now. Unsurprisingly muchnattention has been paid to ‘operational’ matters, such asntraining, good working practices, rest, work organization, nexercises, etc., but while these help they do not seem tonbe sufficient.
