It is a particularly exciting time to be working in the field of unmanned aircraft systems, as we are hearing from members of our new Remote Pilots Council. Invaluable information has been exchanged and great connections forged during town hall-type meetings in six cities to date. These meetings, coupled with discussions at the recently held FAA UAS Symposium, cosponsored by AUVSI, have given us a real-time look at flying under the new Part 107 rules.
