Tom Cruise, Jackie Chan and Angelina Jolie are just some of the actors who routinely perform their own stunts in movies and other projects. In instances where an actor doesn't want to perform their own stunts, a stunt double takes their place and performs the stunt. Those days could be coming to an end, though, or at least evolving, thanks to the invention of "autonomous, self-correcting aerial performers" called Stuntronics, which make on-the-go corrections to nail high-flying stunts "every time." A product of Disney Imagineering, the Stuntronics project, built out of a research experiment called Stickman, is designed to explore ways to make robots that represent Disney properties more believable and active.
