We've come a long way from the early days of military unmanned systems, when they were first used to remotely guide missiles in World War II. Today, unmanned systems technology continues its path of incredible innovation through numerous applications, such as autonomous aerial refueling, underwater unmanned vehicles that operate continuously for months, and ground robotics that safely and remotely discharge ordinance, to transform warfighting and intelligence gathering.
