Harbrick released PolySync V1.0, an out-of-box autonomous vehicle operating system, after a year and a half of beta testing. "We were working with the most advanced autonomous vehicle developers, and they were doing all of this back-end coding," says Harbrick Founder Josh Hartung. "Everyone's code was different and incompatible." His solution was to create a standard operating system for cars that would operate as a plug-and-play solution for developers and engineers to start adding features. PolySync supports all major autonomous vehicle sensors including Velodyne and Ibeo lidar, Delphi and SMS radar, and many camera types. Hardware that is not currently compatible can be added.
