Up Vision, a Czech company that provides unmanned aircraft consulting and research and sells its own models, recently demonstrated in Russia how UAS could be employed for mapping and monitoring for land surveys. The company sought to create high-resolution orthophotomaps, digital surface models and 3-D models of the same area simultaneously in one day - a task that that surveyors previously were able to get only with a terrestrial laser scanner, a process that took much longer.
