In the movie "Jaws," the 1975 classic about a giant white shark that attacks swimmers, the shark was always accompanied by heart-pounding, eerie music. Unfortunately, that warning music doesn't happen in real life, nor can we have Robert Shaw's character, Quint, hunting sharks for us. Since a majority of the world's population lives in coastal communities, there is an emphasis on the need to address ocean public safety along with coastal and port security.
