摘要

Although AUVSI was founded 41 years ago, AUVSI's advocacy efforts are still relatively new. In recent years, AUVSI updated its strategic plan, drafting a new mission statement to "advance the unmanned systems and robotics community through education, advocacy and leadership." To make AUVSI the go-to source for information and influence, AUVSI created a knowledge resources department, with subject matter experts; an advocacy department, with two registered lobbyists; and enhanced its communications and publications department to help educate the public and decision makers about the importance of unmanned systems and robotics.
