Australian company Marathon Robotics recently was awarded a $50 million contract by the U.S. Marine Corps for its smart targets, used for live-fire training. The unmanned vehicles move along unpredictable paths, making human-like motions that are challenging during target practice, says the company.rn"We've heard from customers around the world about the urgent need to improve moving marksmanship," says Alex Brooks, CEO of Marathon Robotics. "Finally, shooters will be able to practice on smart mobile targets that mimic human motion and behavior."
