Elbit Systems Electro-optics Elop, subsidiary of Israel's Elbit Systems, hasrndeveloped the RattlerrnA, an extremely compact and lightweight miniature coded laser, which can bernused as an observation payload on unmanned systems.rnDesigned to fit in an about a five-inch-diameter payload space, the Rattler A uses a diode-pumped technology and a thermal design and is available in single or multiple line-replaceable unit configurations. According to the company, the payload's targeting capabilities rival those used on much larger systems. Its full targeting properties allow it to designate and use coded illumination to track objects.
