ParcAberporth's recent unmanned symposium in Wales was the first to be held over two days and featured the United Kingdom debut of some unmanned systems, although the weather did not cooperate with some planned flying demonstrations.rnMore than 30 companies initially inquired about flying at ParcAberporth Unmanned Systems 2008, and show organizers say "extensive flying" was carried out on run-up and practice days. ASM Europe flew their Rotomotion-built Rotomotion SR20; Fanwing Ltd. flew the short-takeoff-and-landing Fanwing UAS; Aeronautics demonstrated its Orbiter; MW Power flew die Microdrones MD4-1000; and Selex Sensors and Airborne Systems flew die Vigilant vehicle.rnQinetiQ flew its MicroPilot-built Vision-E, demonstrating crop measurement activities for the U-MAP environmental use program, which is being investigated by the Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences (IBERS), the Welsh Assembly Government and QinetiQ.
