Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise (LITE), is a world leader in providing virtual reality services to industry, academia and government by combining visualization, supercomputing and highspeed networking. LITE's mission is to foster economic development in Louisiana and the nation and functions as a technology and services business. Development is being done in a variety of industries and technologies including oil and gas, homeland security, defense, telecommunications and entertainment. In addition, significant work is being done on autonomous vehicles, including that of Team CanjunBot, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's entry into DARPA's upcoming Urban Challenge unmanned vehicle competition.
