Several companies displaying at the recent Defence Systems & Equipment Internationa (DSEi) show in London are making the move from building target drones to selling more capable unmanned aerial systems.rnUniversal Target Systems Ltd., of Kent, United Kingdom, showed its Vigilant UAVrnsystem at DSEi. The company makes the GSAT-200 Aerial Target System and other equipment, but appeared at DSEi to test the market for Vigilant, says David Gordon, the company's general manager.rnThe company is looking to diversify so it's not purely military, if the interest is there, he says. The prototype Vigilant is hand-launched, but the company also is working on a rail-type system.
