It's typical; as the editor of a monthly, I see the March 12 issue of Business Week as I write my June column. Their "Special Report" asks: "How Bad Will It Get?" The beauty of working at a magazine like Upside—steeped in Silicon Valley, with our editors here, and with the mandate to cover only technology— is that I know the question is not "how bad" but, rather, as Bob Emery, president of Robertson Stephens, told me this week, "how long" this cycle of technology problems will last. Meanwhile, Business Week's poor editors have to report on Procter & Gamble and issues like trauma in the workplace.
