On Saturday, Nov. 14, the AHS Pennsylvania State University Chapter hosted a free, rotor-themed Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) event for the community: the 2nd Annual STEM Rotor Day. This event was made possible by the contributions of the LORD Corporation and Adverse Environment Rotor Test Stand (AERTS) laboratory at Penn State. The purpose of the event was to provide exciting STEM activities and Penn State Department of Aerospace Engineering facility tours for elementary and middle school-aged children and their families, with the hope of inspiring STEM leaders of tomorrow and creating an excitement about STEM fields.
