Snecma,Turbomeca's larger brother in the Safran family, is doing quite well these days. The engine maker scored a hit when both Boeing and Airbus chose the CFM LEAP engine to power the 737 MAX and the Airbus A320neo (New Engine Option) narrow body jetliners.The LEAP, the technologically advanced successor to the CFM56, is the sole powerplant on the 737 MAX and an option on the A320neo family of aircraft.
