Within the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) School of Engineering in Troy, New York, Prof. Farhan Gandhi, the Redfern Chair in Aerospace Engineering, directs MOVE - The Center for Mobility with Vertical Lift. Gandhi's research team now includes 10 faculty and 22 PhD candidates, plus a mix of masters and undergraduate students working on more than 17 vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) technology projects, including several electric VTOL (eVTOL) efforts.
