Table 11 shows the UN's warship building programs (including MTBs). A total of 1,602 MTBs were budgeted for, including 6 of MTB-1 class, 36 class A, and 1,560 class B, the latter admitted in wartime. Although 1,602 boats were authorized, the requirements of the NGS, submitted in 1943, amounted to 3,140 boats-that is, the NGS wanted roughly double the number of boats actually authorized.
