The average cost of the units represented in this edition is $654,152, as compared with $667,090 in last year's survey. Thus, the average cost of the units has fallen by 1.94 percent. This decline is an early reflection of the impact of the world economic crisis, which has caused a number of naval construction programs to be delayed.
