As the FDA prepares for an upcoming joint Nonprescription Drugs Advisory Committee and Pediatric Advisory Committee meeting to discuss the safety of children's OTC cough and cold medications, several manufacturers promoting the products for use in children under 2 years of age are voluntarily withdrawing the drugs from the market, the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) announced Oct. 11.
