One of the memorable events surrounding the first Lake Meredith Splash-In was the creation of an airmark-a large ground-based symbol pointing pilots to the Tamarack Beach Seaplane Base. The 8-by-13-foot airmark is comprised of a seaplane base symbol painted on a concrete pad.
