ICON Aircraft came to AirVenture 2014 with the first A5 built using production tooling, methods, and components. The aircraft, Engineering Serial Number 1 (ESN-1), made its maiden flight in early July and is the first of three that the company will use to verify performance and complete FAA approval prior to the start of customer deliveries in May 2015. The third aircraft will be the first one delivered to a customer.
