A few years ago Water Flying interviewed John Justad at EAA's Air Venture Seaplane Base, where he had flown his newly acquired de Havilland Beaver. Flush with excitement, Justad said it was his dream to use the Beaver to do sightseeing flights in his native Minnesota. He eventually achieved that dream, only to wake up to reality. Here is his story. I feel very fortunate. Indeed I am, to have had the privilege to do this with more than 7,000 people in the past five years, in Minnesota in the summer and, beginning two winters ago, in Florida.
