Troy McVey, left, and the FAA's Dan Keen met at the AirVenture Seaplane Base where Keen presented McVey with an Air Carrier Certificate authorizing him to charter his Cessna 195 floatplane. McVey owns and operates Mac's Seaplane Service at the Rising Sun Seaplane Base (67IN) on the Ohio River in Rising Sun, Indiana. McVey uses the 195 and a pair of Cessna 140s on straight floats for sightseeing, instruction, photo flights, and passenger trips. McVey said he plans to offer solo rental of the 140 on floats.
