Julie Ann Floyd and Nikali Pontecorvo of Key West Seaplanes were flying their Cessnas 206 amphib on a deadhead leg from Key West to Miami last August when they heard a pilot in a single-engine Mooney report engine problems. Floyd and Pontecorvo were near the Mooney's reported position, and told air traffic control that they were in a position to help.
