The names of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration speakers who will address the World Tobacco symposium at Kunming in November were announced just before this magazine went to press. They, along with doyens from the wider tobacco industry, will make this a compelling event. There has been a host of major international tobacco industry symposia and exhibitions since World Tobacco launched the first in Geneva in 1972. But rarely in the intervening years can such an imposing group of industry experts have been gathered in one place as has been scheduled to address World Tobacco's symposium in Kunming, the People's Republic of China, November 16-18.
