Happy birthday, World Tunnelling (WT) - exactly 25 years have passed since the first publication in March 1988. And we are still here, thanks to our loyal readers and advertisers. During this period, the magazine has had the continuous support of the industry - so we must be doing something right. It has been my pleasure and good fortune to be the editor these past six years, and I hope to be here for much longer. But does anyone really care? Great achievements have occurred in tunnelling over the period in question, huge strides that are much more significant than the quarter-century anniversary of a tunnelling publication. So why bother?
